08 Apr Homemade DIY Anti-Bacterial Cleaner
Run out of Anti Bacterial Spray?
For the last few months, I have really been trying to eliminate toxic chemicals from our home. It is impossible to eliminate them completely, because the chemicals are honestly in almost everything. I have found that the best way to get rid of these dangerous products is to make them yourself especially as now we can’t get ahold of them that easily with all the demand for it, this couldn’t be a better time to try it yourself!!
This simple antibacterial cleaner only uses a few ingredients and couldn’t be simpler to make.
You only need 3 ingredients for this cleaner, two of which you already have at home! Water and white vinegar are the main, most important ingredients, and then you can add in essential oils for additional cleaning properties and also for a fresh scent!
INGREDIENTS:
Here’s what you’ll need from the store. The exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Glass Spray Bottle (preferably) Why do you use a glass spray bottle with essential oils? Because the essential oils are so strong they could possibly pull the chemicals out of the plastic.
- 10-15 drops Lavender or tea tree essential oils
- 3 cups Cold Water
- ½ cup White vinegar
This is so easy to make, you’ll be able to keep it stocked year-round.
Just follow these simple instructions. Mix together the water and vinegar in a glass spray bottle, using a funnel or pour carefully from a jug. Why do you use a glass spray bottle with essential oils? Because the essential oils are so strong they could possibly pull the chemicals out of the plastic.
The Vinegar is naturally antibacterial and antifungal and will naturally clean surfaces. Then add the Essential oils, which are used for their antibacterial and antifungal qualities too.
Shake well to mix the ingredients and hey presto that’s it!
